Tips & Tricks - Nita Hair

I like versatile products like Nita Hair. Nita Hair for Genesis 3 Female  is also compatile with Genesis 8 Female and more than that, you can get until 5 hair styles with just this hair. For instance, I'm using Nita Hair on Genesis 8 Female. This character is Yumi from my set Japanese Face & Body Shapes for Genesis 3 and 8 Female with Kassandra HD 's textures. Now you'll see how to create more styles with this hair. All the magic will happen in the Surfaces Tab. Select Nita Hair and go to Surfaces Tab and select the B_Hair surface then search for  Cutout Opacity parameter and turn the dial down to zero. Now you have a new Long Hair without the bangs. You can continue selecting the A_RI and B_RI surfaces and turn the Cutout Opacity to zero, too. Now you have a Half Shaved Hairstyle.  And if you select  the left side, A_LE and B_LE , turning the Cutout Opacity down to zero, we have a Slick Hairstyle. Turning the back surfaces ...

How to make mirror poses in Poser

On the previous tutorial I showed you how to make mirror poses in Daz Studio . Now I'm gonna show you how I do them in Poser and, for me, it works great. I tried to do this straight in Poser as I did in Daz Studio by clicking on Figure > Symmetry > Swap Right and Left. Poser does the symmetry pretty well, but when I change the X Translate of the Hip from negative to positive to make Dawn grab the pole, as I did in Daz Studio, she doesn't grab it yet and you would  have to move her on the right position by hand. And not only on X axis but either on Z axis. So I figured out a solution for this. A plugin for Daz Studio which exports poser formats, Poser Format Exporter (PFE) . Now all I have to do is exporting my mirrored poses from Daz to Poser! :D Here's the settings:  In the menu you click on Path... to choose the directory in Poser you want to save the pose. In File Name fill with the name of your pose, I put Pole Dance 19_M (M for mirror) and c...

How to make mirror poses in Daz Studio

I'm doing a new set of poses for Dawn , and I've saw a lot of people asking how to mirror poses. So I decided to make this mini tutorial. So here's the pose I wanna mirror: In Daz Studio 4.6 I go on Edit > Figure > Symmetry... or Shift+Y shortcut. In the Symmetry panel you need to set this settings as shown below. Note that this pole dance pose is wrong. Dawn is not grabbing the pole as in the original pose. So I have to adjust her. One thing I do when I make a pose is to move the character around the scene by Hip , not selecting the entire body. Look at the figure below the X Translate value of  the Hip is -16.58. Then I set a positive value 16.58 and now her hands are on the pole. So now you just have to save it as a mirror pose of the first one. Next post I will teach you how I do that in Poser. Any doubt, comment. See ya!

Making Ratita

What I'm gonna show here is not a tutorial. Just a little step by step of how I did the site's banner . Ratita is based on Victoria 4 from Daz3D model . Normally I use Daz Studio to create the character and then open it in Carrara to compose the scene to render . But this was straight in Carrara . I like this software because it renders faster than others such as Poser and Daz Studio and in few minutes I have a great picture . First of all , load Victoria 4 that comes with her basic texture . Then I googled for textures and clothes that matched the visual that I had already drawn in 2d . There're several sites like ShareCG , Renderosity , MOST Digital Creations , Content Paradise , Art Raiders , Evil Innocence where you can download clothes, skins texture ( skin), hair, jewelry , poses , and even full characters for free use. In   Daz3D site , there're some free too . In Texture tab ...
